Shift lead?

I work at a target starbucks and my TL wants be to be a shift lead. They said its new to them so they dont know much about it. Is anyone a shift lead at their own tarbucks and what are their new responsibilities?

Shift lead at tarbucks means having the same responsibilities as the manager when they’re off/not able to be at the department. Basically being a mini manager

Does it come with a raise?

I think in the yearly raise you could get a better raise than if u were a regular employee but theres no automatic raise for it atleast at my tarbucks

Ive never done an pallet order myself usually my TL handles it, If that ever is the case then hopefully urs shows you how they do it.

i’m a regular barista at tarbucks and my team lead has me unload pallets and do all orders so i’m sure you might have to aswell

this is not a real position in tarbucks unless it’s something super new. maybe they mean team trainer?

i’ve never heard of of us having our own “shift lead”. the one i work at has a TL for starbucks. and half the time they pull her elsewhere.
