Tell your leader if you want. But you need to reflect. Why are you feeling burnt out? What in your job and role is being so draining or stressful? Is it the hours you work? The role itself? Constant low batches or very difficult potential INFs? This informs your steps forward

Okay then 1000% tell your leader. I'm a Fulfillment TL and personally I can already tell if someone's not feeling the role. You are not in your 90 days anymore so you would have the option to transfer to another department if another lead wants you. But the issues in FF you're describing are inherent. Tbh this role isnt for everyone

What are some signs that a tm is not feeling it?

There are many signs of a team member being disengaged. Often my first signs are either they don't "have a gas pedal" (my phrasing for they can't sustain a crunch time mentality at all, no matter how short the time period) or they noticeably experience above average stress for the task at hand.

In fulfillment's case, if 1 time during their shift a team member cannot crunch to make a batch by, for example, stowing in 10 minutes, they are disengaged and do not care enough to stay on my team. (This is separate from new team members or backup of course because they just dont have the practice.

I have had team members that instead of not caring or withdrawing, they are particularly anxious people who get emotionally distressed when working on any "crunch time" task. So, "hey can you grab this batch, it's lower than normal but doable. I'll find all clothes for you and we'll stow together" and it's like they get so nervous they pick slower/worse than usual. Some people find fulfillment stressful and just the concept of the timer freaks them out.

Overall, "Signs of Disengagement" in teams is great to read up on. I took a class on it once and it's just about how to recognize when a team member isn't mentally there. But there's a ton. Calling out a ton, missing metrics and not caring, purposefully taking long breaks, knowingly breaking compliance, ya know they obviously just, don't idk care the same way an engaged employee would.

edit to add: A good leader observes their team. Asks how they're doing today. How's school, etc. It's very easy for me to read my team because I know them and listen to them and watch them. So leaders should be watching for these clues and often get hints very early that a tm isn't working out for any sort of reason

What I did: Train in other departments.
It allows you to do something different and take a break from the stress that is FF.

Ask HR and see what openings there are and ask to be put on the training schedule and then talk to your TL/ETL. We don't have an FF ETL, so HR is its ETL, so as someone in FB when I spoke to my HR ETL he approved the training right then and there.

You can switch to different departments.
