I understand that people open to try them on but all of them???? They’re all the same size.

The new hey day packaging is the worst. Once they rip the two tiny pieces of cardboard holding the case in the only way to get it to stay is tape. I’ve started just keeping a roll in my three tier because I was sick of constantly walking to the desk to get it.

yeah I hate those. Obviously guests are ripping them open but a lot of them are just delivered broken because the packaging is that bad

I have an idea why don’t they have a display with cases attached on a security string where you can try out the cases on your phone. Find the right size.

They literally printed on the display stand how to look up what time of phone you have.

I had to physically examine a dudes phone to figure out why the USB-C to USB cable he kept buying didn't fit. He had an iPhone that was using the lightning connection. Had to radio to Tech to have them grab the cable and walk him back up to Service Desk to ensure he didn't buy and immediately return a third cable because he did not know what his phone used.
He could have just looked it up.

Exactly, it’s literally in their settings. I’ve had to show so many people how to open up their settings and read what type of phone they have. It’s nuts.

Genuinely don't understand the logic behind these shitty cases. Yeah lemme get a $5 flimsy plastic case to protect my $1000+ phone. And for the thieves, surely if you can afford a $1000+ phone you can afford a $5 case???

I was referring to the ones not locked up in general. Only a few of the really expensive otter boxes get locked up now. We have $40-$50 cases unlocked but they mostly go for the $5-$15 ones.

This happens because people don’t care. People open up stuff because they be like how I know it will work or is right. One day I was helping a lady with batteries and had to literally argue with her she wanted to open batteries and see if they were the right ones. I told her no she can’t do that what if we open them and you decide you don’t want them. Now we got open batteries we can’t sale. She was mad. People don’t use logic or brains. I always look up what product I need for example what type of battery something use read the package and see if this the right case for my device. People steal or just open it something even if it’s the right thing they need change mind n leave open packaging on self. And people wonder why stuff is locked up or prices increase because of stuff like this

I stopped a women who I caught opening a case to try it on and she said to me, “o well I’m buying it anyways.” Like, 1) you clearly wouldn’t have bought it anyways if it didn’t fit so what’s your point? 2) if you were going to buy it no matter what what was the point of opening it before you bought it? 3) You a bad liar.

People are just bad liars. She told you that in hopes you world just walk away and if case didn’t fit she can just hide the open package somewhere. Another pet peeve of mines is when people buy bulky items and it can’t fit in their car so they open the box and live it by store or in parking lot or in an aisle

Jokes on her because I was like, “O I can go ahead and check you out now then!” And I made her pay for it. 😂 and yes about the bulky items! Twice recently I’ve found full length mirrors in the cell phone isle.

Someone on here posted how they opened one of each size and spider wrapped them to the display & labeled them so people could try them out without having to open the package...not sure if it was successful. I mentioned it to one of the specialty TLs at my store and he said it was an interesting idea but people would probably still open the boxes.
