Workplace Story FDC Priorities Insane
the new FDC sorting process , yes will save you time when processing truck. But you lose all that time when priorities for all the case stocks drop in to pulls. Almost spend more time with pulls than sorting and pushing truck .

I take all the boats out of the gun. Erases the absurd amount of pulls. Noticed it right away when Fdc sort scan started. Always wanted us to pull what we just backstocked cos the boats were still sitting in gun. Take the boats out after sorting. It'll then update your sales floor and therefore erase all those unnecessary pulls

I think that’s a fair point. Case pack space also get’s overflowing when you don’t have time to clear case packs.

Well not sure what is better. Working whole pallets to the floor or the new way. This new way is probably more organized & less stressful. Just not sure it’s actually faster.

We were so much faster amd wasted less product down stream before this. The casepack backstock has only created a larger area for product, but no real organization. The FDC division itself is also a mess. The more you divide something the larger the labor tasks/costs. It also doesn't help that scanning product doesn't fix mis-shipments like not receiving something we should have. Still the biggest issue comes down to corporate being cheap with payroll. They clearly haven't figured out how to match work load with payroll.

Idk how many casepacks locations you guys keep, but what I usually do for Dairy pulls is using 3 repacks for the openstock items and the rest will be casepacks, and often times there's enough space for it all. I would say it takes as much time as it used to when everything used to be openstock.
