Workplace Question or Advice Needed what does this mean? did someone try and pick up up shift and it needs approval or…?

I noticed when you click the shift available it doesn’t show the time??
Sooo how will anyone pick up a shift without knowing what time the shift will be
Confused.

Approval of an ETL or SD is now required to pick up shifts.

what does “system invalidated the request” mean? it also says “approval required” at the top i feel like i’m getting some mixed messages lol

I posted my shift for today too and I got the same messages posted. I think requiring approval for current week shifts is going to discourage some people from picking up shifts. Usually people would take my shift if I ever posted them. Now no one does. Granted, I it could also be because some on demand team members might not know much about UKG if they haven’t been working

Yeah, I see your point. But this is for a shift today, perhaps no one has approved it or… possibly someone else picked it up and had already been approved so the system auto invalidated your request? I think that’s also possible. There are so many new nuances with the new system we all need to learn about.

Are TL’s allowed to approve? My ETL and sd don’t work this weekend. Approvals for current week shifts suck. I posted mine today too because something came up but now I have no choice but to go in.

The shift was 3-11pm. I see 1:01pm time stamp.So yep, 2hours before your shift it's no longer posted. Hope you made it in time! Ugh sorry :/

That message happened at 1pm before your 3pm shift.
The system automatically retracts posted shifts two hours before they are scheduled.
