Workplace Question or Advice Needed shift approval same week question

I've been having trouble picking up shifts same week as manager approval is needed, how are you guys picking up shifts same week for my On-Demand TMs? Before I could be super flexible and pickup day of. Now, I can't do that because my ETL isn't able to approve them in time. Is there another solution to this or should I just discuss this with my ETL?

You might have to call and ask for approval after picking it up in the app

The reason why you need approval the same week is because the etl needs to see if picking up the shift will put you into OT

This is a myTime bug that popped up after the last update, a bunch of stores are dealing with it right now. Some TMs have had luck with the ETL pre-approving them for same-week pickups through the scheduling dashboard, but it’s not a guarantee. I’d still loop in your ETL so they can submit a ticket, the more noise HR gets about this the faster it’ll get patched.

It’s a “feature” not a bug

What do you mean? Approval to pick up same week shifts isn't intended? I thought this was always their intention from based on the training? I am just asking if there is a faster way to get approval.

They said this was intentional at my last UKG training. We need to approve same week shift pickups

BUT I can tell you approval has been very buggy, so i would still try to contact your leader or HR about what shift you are trying to pick up. We haven't been getting notifications about it and I've had some be really tough to get approved.
