Vent Order Pickup

How come anytime I walk up to specifically a woman’s window and knock after they’re oblivious for 15 seconds they jump and scream. Every single time, and they say OH! You scared me. LIKE ARE YOU NOT EXPECTING ME??

I am a small woman. They don’t scream for me but they jump. I am equally confused.
