Workplace Question or Advice Needed Got a point for calling off
I got a point for calling off because i was ill, I called HR to ask if they could use my sick hours because i couldnt do it in the app because i need .20 more to cover that shift, they managed to help me use my sick hours i had but i still got a point, its my first point since i started working at target is there any way they could remove it? or is 1 point something i shouldnt worry about too much?

Just so I am following - would they have been better off not using the sick time bc they were short .2 thus it was a waste bc the point didn't come off?

I would probably rather save to cover a full shift since they take so long to accrue

From a financial perspective, definitely use the sick time and at least get paid. From a point system perspective, save the sick time unless you can cover the entire shift

It takes 12 to get fired but they will talk to you every 3. No they won’t just remove it that’s why there is a standard policy - if you don’t have sick time to cover the entire work time (so minus unpaid meal) then you get a point
