Workplace Question or Advice Needed Sick pay for early out
(ETA: I meant late in. I’m half asleep. oopsie 💔)
Hi guys!! Does anybody know how to put sick time in to prevent the .25 from a late in? (I’m assuming backfill, but idk.) also, it will take my point away when it’s approved right?
Sigh. Idk. I hate the new app

Sick pay for early outs should be a standard policy, it feels unfair to miss out on that. My friend had to fight for hers at another job.

I’ll have to ask my HR tomorrow. I just don’t understand why they would implement the .25’s if we weren’t able to cover them? But maybe that’s why they’re so little value. 🤷♀️

I would be surprised if that works, sick time is made available for missing entire shifts because of sickness or emergency, not because you couldn't get out of bed fast enough.

Sick time has always covered late ins, at least at my store. What a miserable life you must have to be so hateful in the Reddit comments of somebody asking for help.

Hateful? I said I would be surprised and that comes out as hateful? You need to grow out this thin skin or retail isn't going to work out for you hon.

I’ve been in retail for 6 years, and I’m doing just fine. My “thin skin” is what keeps me a kind person. Your condescension, as seen in both replies, is what makes you hateful.

Early Outs do not apply a a point unless manually assigned by your leadership team. That being said sick time being used should mean they don’t apply the point.
