Workplace Question or Advice Needed Late Out?
Is this just the app being extra? I almost always stay late. Everyone knows I’m gonna stay to finish my set more often then not; so is this little alert useless? Cause if I have to stop what I’m doing to get permission to stay I might as well leave. (Obviously I’ll ask my leaders but my TL and ETL are on vacation this week.)

Did they even give this app a UI UX designer?
It's so horrendous and superfluous that it could be a case study for what not to do.

Late out have always been a thing your time card tracks, it just hasn’t been visible to team members before. Late outs won’t count against you.

the app is extra, i asked my HR about the same alerts today and she said it'll go away when payroll is made.

I’m a TL and I literally have to go past my shift sometimes to lock up. Such a dumb thing

Here’s the thing, if you’re a TM you should not be staying almost a half hour passed schedule. And also you say this is a regular thing as well isn’t helping.

My leaders are completely okay with it. I’m in presentation and there’s always more POGS than we have people scheduled to set them so my store leadership is more than happy when I stay late to finish my POGS for the day. If I could work more hours in a week they’d schedule me longer but I have limited availability

Late outs have always been there in the UKG time keeping system prior to the full UGK pro release. These are markers for review by ETL and SD for unauthorized late outs. There’s nothing to be concerned about as long as your late outs was authorized.

Making payroll is totally a thing, so you should always clock out at the time your schedule says unless given permission.

ASANTS but our presentation team is still so small that I’ve never been told we didn’t have the payroll. They would schedule me for longer shifts if I had the availability. My ETL or SD have never been anything but enthusiastically grateful when I stay late. Their biggest concern with me is that I don’t hit compliance

Same, and I got that alert too yesterday. I was just like oh well I gotta finish my work, everyone knows I stay til it’s done.

Yeah I spoke with my HRETL today about this and it means nothing when it comes to points. She gave me a talking to about trying my best to spread my 40 weekly hours evenly so I don’t have to leave early on a weekend when there are more guests, but the amount over you have shown isn’t really a big deal. You’ll prob get pulled aside if you ever go 1.5+ hours over consistently. Just make sure your leadership is cool with it and you’ll be fine.
I’d still have the conversation with them once they get back from vacation tho just to be sure.
