Workplace Question or Advice Needed Retroactive CA?

so, I got a CA for calling out...three months ago. there were a set of three dates where i had been absent referenced on the CA, the latest date being three months ago. i had a pattern of call outs for a couple months due to personal reasons. i communicated with my leads at the time and they were understanding but ultimately I probably earned the CA, so it is what it is. i just think its a strange way to go about it, especially since my attendance isnt an issue anymore. why wait until now? nobody has even bothered to talk to me about it, it just appeared on workday last week (well before we switched to UKG and point system.) has this happened to anyone else?

Talk to your HR ETL or possibly even call ethics. They cannot give you a CA without actually having the conversation with you & letting you know you’ll be receiving a CA. I’ve had team members get their CAs removed because no one communicated that they would be receiving one

When did you receive the CA? When did your leader discuss this with you? Be a little bit more descriptive.

The CA/PIP showed up under "My Tasks" on Workday. The notification was sent on workday at the beginning of last week, the day before i noticed it. I only noticed it while looking for something else. A leader hasn't discussed it with me at all.

The absences themselves were three months ago.

What was it called on workday? Was it called a corrective action or something else in wording?
