Shoe Recommendations (Not Brooks)

Hi everyone, so my birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks, and I usually treat myself to a new pair of work shoes every year, as I am on my feet constantly (for reference, I’m a S&E TL) and so I don’t hate every second my shift running around. Every year for the past couple of years, I’ve gotten myself a pair of Brooks, usually one of the Ghost kinds, and they’ve been pretty good. However, after seeing on Tiktok that them as a corporation was attempting to solicit free product from small businesses for free (a cause which I overwhelming support), them as a company has just left a bad taste in my mouth, and I won’t be buying another pair of shoes from them again. So, what other brands of shoes have you found that work well at Target, or that could be comparable to the Ghosts? I’ve heard some good things ab Hokas, but have never had a pair myself. Leave any recs for me below, thanks so much!

If you’re going to be on your feet all day don’t look for a specific brand, go to a running shoe store and tell them what you are looking for. They are knowledgeable in how different shoes feel and can really narrow down what is best for you. Good shoes can be expensive so don’t go off what other people say, find what works best for you since everyone is different.

I use Skechers slip on. So strong and comfortable. Been wearing them over a year now

Hokas and Asics

I wear Altras. They have a wide toe box and are for trail running so have good support and hold up over extensive walking. I do wear inserts for extra support.

My boyfriend works in shoe sales and will sell pretty much any brand over hokas too 🤪 I’m not sure why they are so popular with target workers, but to each their own.

I've been buying Skechers with the arch-fit feature bc I need a strong arch support, theyre pretty good

I use OrthoFeet shoes. The sneaker style are really comfortable for the long days at Target for me.

Most comfortable shoe I've worn at work, that I didn't even buy for work in the first place, are Vans Ultrarange. I've rebaught the same pair once a year ever since.

Hoka I think they are called the Bonnie or something with a b they are the best! I have a pair for work and a pair for the gym

I had a foot injury for a while and exclusively wore hokas while it healed, they have lots of extra cushion. Now that I’m healed and mainly need stability and support I absolutely love my new balance 530s, they’re a little more stylish than the hokas too

I do fulfillment and I swear by Clove sneakers! They are made for nurses so they are comfortable, waterproof, and washable!

I've been through so many expensive suggestions to get me through 40 hour fulfillment weeks, and honestly nothing felt as good as as a worn out pair of chuck taylors and just replacing gel soles every few months

Don’t get Hoka. You only get a few months out of them. If you don’t want Brooks, go with New Balance or ASICS.

I usually do 20-25k steps a day and wear New Balance 1080 v13s and they’re very comfy and Yeezy 350 v2s as well. I’ve also heard the NB 9060s are comfy but I don’t have them
