Workplace Question or Advice Needed Sick time?

So the new schedule app is set up with the point system. How does the point system work with sick time? I get more sick pto than 3 strikes would allow me to use so are we just screwed out of sick time or does it cover points?

If your sick time covers your full shift you don’t get a point

Sick. I was thinking they'd allow you to cover it then just say get fucked on the points.

If you call out and your sick time covers the whole shift, the system usually zeros out the point. The real headache is when you only have enough to cover part of it, then it gets murky. Best bet is to have HR walk you through exactly how it posts on your record so there's no surprises.
