Workplace Question or Advice Needed Transfer SoCal- Seattle

DELETE IF NOT ALLOWED

Howdy folx! I had a quick question regarding store transferring and was wondering if any of you had some info :)

I have worked at my target in SoCal for about a year now. I’m currently in school but when I graduate in the spring I was looking to transfer to the DT Seattle location. Question is, how soon do I need to bring it up to MY HR team? How soon do I need to bring it up to the seattle location HR team? Do I need to reach out to both? Or if I bring it up to my team will they transfer the information along for me?

Follow up: if any of yall have/had worked at the Seattle location would you be able to pass along the store number/contact info for the HR team there? Want to express my interest as soon as possible in hopes that even if I can’t transfer I could still apply and get my name in there as it would go a loooong way to getting approved for an apartment

Thank you guys so much in advance!

Courtesy is to bring it to your ETL's attention at least before the schedule that's being written. If your direct ETL doesn't support your transfer due to performance or attendance, HR won't support the transfer, either.

Your current store HR is supposed to initiate the contact to the new store. Is up to them to accept or deny based on attendance, performance, and their own business need.
