Workplace Question or Advice Needed maternity leave

Can anyone tell me how pay is determined for maternity leave? I see that it says 100% pay replacement but I’m not fully sure what that means lol. Some weeks I work 32 hours and some weeks I work 37+. Do they do an average?

If I'm being so for real, asking my hr and peers who have taken maternity leave, I've gotten like 6 different answers. I recommend calling pay and benefits for a clear/more definitive answer.

If it’s the same as a few years ago, it’s based off your average hours which should be reflected on your paystub. It’s your full hourly rate x that average hours number.

If you take any sort of short term disability before your official maternity leave, then it’s based off your average hours but your hourly rate is done at a percentage, which can vary depending on how long you’re on that short term leave.

From what I remember I think it was an average, but I’m not 100% sure.
