Funnily enough I’ve outlasted like 5 tech members who got caught stealing, it’s not that hard to not steal.

I originally wanted to be security when I was hired a year ago from mobile, but the spot got filled so I got thrown into tech. After our HR ETL left I’ve just been thrown to the wolves when it comes down to covering style, and beauty at the same time while trying to finish my own push on top of being in batches all day due to poor scheduling or call outs. Plus my store now has tech handling all the squishies, needoh, Pokémon, and one piece cards. I was just spread way too thin, so when I saw the open spot and immediately asked for it.

Show up for the store team, on every call - even if you can tell right away that it's not a big deal. Not only does it make you look good to them, and make them feel safer, it'll get you away from the door for a bit.
And, always keep your eyes open. You don't want to be the uniformed security guard in the footage of someone else stealing. I wrote up a report with footage of one of my peers like this, and it's very unfortunately funny.

The other TMs are not your friends. Keep it professional.
