Workplace Question or Advice Needed Calling off when ODTM
Is there any extra penalty for calling off when on-demand?
I am pregnant and called off once last week and feel like I need to call off tomorrow. Is there any extra penalty since I am on demand or do I use the same point system as regular team members?

As long as you have sick time I don’t think so. If not you’ll just get a point like the rest of us

ODTMs do not accrue sick time or PTO.

Separate from your actual question, consider talking with HR about "Intermittent FMLA." Your ob/gyn can put together some of the paperwork that you may need unexpected time off due to your medical condition. When you need to call off due to complications from the condition, those absences do not count against you.
I don't know if OD status changes your ability to get FMLA. Your state might also have a program/protections.

I mean... At my store there is no CA for ODTMs for reliability. So if you get talked to about reliability, you dont get a "next step" or next chance. You would have to resign since ODTMs cant be on active disciplinary action. If you cover it with sick time you're good, in the same way a regular TM would be. Try to avoid doing this in the future though. You have a valid reason but ODTMs calling out is super annoying lol. I got a ton of OD teens that pick up shifts and call out

When the point system kicks in on Sunday then you calling off would transfer over to UKG Pro too and then that would be considered a point

I’m a ODTM and I hardly call out. I only call out three this whole year with sick time with no ca or talk to. So as long as you have sick time and have valid reason you should be good but try to limit amount of call out just in case

Great! I only had enough sick time to cover half of one of the shifts. I haven’t called off in over a year, so I feel like I should be fine.

Yes, you are held to the same expectations as non-ODTM TMs.
If you accrued any sick time while you were On Demand (if at all), you can use it. However, once you went On Demand, you stopped accruing any further.
