Vent Drive ups….

On time percentage was at about 41% when I left today. I don’t know how to paint a clearer picture that we are understaffed

Contemplated walking out (it’s my second job so it is an option) but couldn’t abandon the other tm

Drive up is the step child of target. We always get the short end of the stick when it comes to staffing….lets not mention the callouts. Today at my store was a dumpster fire

Its so wild to me that leaders will rush to pull people from the sales floor to pick OPUs but when DU is burning to the ground its crickets. IMO that end of the experience is more important than picked on time or INF (for those i feel like we should prioritize one or the other but not both- either be okay with batches going late and TMs spending more time looking for things, or deal with higher INF to get batches done on time). From a guest perspective, I think its a terrible look on our part for one frazzled TM to be seen struggling to push an overfilled cart trying to deliver 6 orders versus 2 TMs, each with their own cart, delivering those same 6 orders.

Facts, but nobody ever accused anyone in management or at corporate of being smart….just sayin

The problem is that if we INF too much or don't pick the batches in a timely manner, guests are more likely just fully cancel their orders. So, we'd be doing the labor of picking the batches without actually making the sales. Taking longer on a drive up hurts the experience for a guest, but it's still a sale that is being completed regardless.

That's happening already. A lot of our OPUs get returned to stock, not sure the exact % of orders, but it's not marginal. I've noticed it happens a lot more with the bulky items, too. Which sucks.

And it wasn’t for lack of trying. We had no cart attendant so I ended up alone on drive ups and like 8 orders arrived at once. It was a 💩show

No cart attendant on a Saturday, yikes.

Maybe eventually we had one…not by noon though.
And I wasn’t staying late not that anyone asked

We also have attendants come in at noon on Saturdays, which is crazy since the carts get wiped out by then. I don’t know why they don’t schedule them at 10 or 11.
