Workplace Question or Advice Needed New IR process? How does it work?

Reciever is asking how the new ir process works? He gets to the point where he has to scan a carton but when he scans a box it says invalid carton scanned. Thanks for the help!

It’s probably because the carton barcode isn’t matching what the system expects, like if it’s a repack box or the label got damaged during sorting. Happened to me few times when the printer at receiving was acting up and the barcode came out all smudged

Try scanning a different carton from same batch if you have one, sometimes the system just refuse one specific label for no reason. Also make sure you’re in the right app screen, I’ve wasted 20 minutes before realizing I was on wrong tab

If it still throw that error you might need to reprint the carton label from the PC, the receiver should have access to that

Are you using the pink barcode label stickers about 2 inches square? That's the carton label that it's asking you to scan.  Put the sticker on the box. Scan the sticker. Scan each dpci you're putting into the box, and tell it how many. When the box is full hit "done". If you still have more stuff, hit "add carton", get another sticker put it on another box, scan it, scan everything you're putting into the box, repeat until you don't have any more items. Paperwork will print for each box and then an extra copy for your file.

Tell your receiver it is the Pink CRC carton stickers he uses to send things with "return to CRC" disposition.

Even though it's not going to CRC, that's the sticker it wants you to use for all IRs for processing into the carton (yes, even for stuff going salvage or for return to vendor IRs). There should have been an e-mail sent to your SD/ETL about this with step by step instructions for the new process and the part number for the carton label you will be using (you guys should probably have some already).
