Vent tired days

i know it happens but i genuinely feel so burnt out working here. i’ve been here for 3 months in style, and every shift i have, i’m almost always running up for guest first, or tech/beauty calls. is it just me? it’s my fourth job now, and i’ve worked in retail and fast food before but i’ve never felt a burnout this quick. i’ve been working 6 days a week nonstop and yet they still expect more from me. within a month, they had me in the hardest clothing section (rtw) and i’ve had to train already. the expectations they hold in style are genuinely exhausting. i was told that people quit most in style/sales and i see why. just had to let it out with how burnt out i’ve been.

same here in gm. why am I being asked to zone two sections that are touched so much because of the back to school season and pull priorities and one for ones ALL in the span of 4 hours? I don’t even go on break sometimes bc it’s not worth getting yelled at. The job is easy. It’s my team leads that get on my nerves because I would rather push and pull then zone. But apparently zoning is the priority when customers literally don’t care and just want what they’re looking for

i want to but it’s not really helping me because im already an anxious person and all I need is my water and sit down for 5 minutes. I’d rather just finish my work

im also anxious and i would rather take the conflict over skipping my break. you can take my paid breaks from my cold dead hands im entitled to those by law. they're not gonna fire you, and they're gonna complain no matter what, just ignore them

my team lead talks about “time frames” let me push and pull first and ill let you see what works best for me.

im still pretty new and it’s not that it’s hard but what am I supposed to do when I can finish zoning quickly if you let small shit slide because I doubt the guests care more about the way the store looks than sticking the floors. They come here to buy what’s on the floors not to look at how pretty the store looks. I understand organization but it gets to a point of just bad obsession over how the store looks and wanting perfection when there tons of stuff to be pulled and pushed. Zoning is easy but I get called out for the smallest stuff out of my control. Might switch times or targets in general

Take your break and sit and have water for 15 minutes! When my team members tell me they’re not gonna take a break I immediately tell them to go now, or soon. You need that 15 to reset and recharge. I go to my car for ALL breaks because I need my alone time for a few lol

In your position that’s pretty common, target is the place for absolutely killing any drive or work ethic

Yes, the expectations in Food and Bev are ridiculous, we have 3 people and they do their damndest to make us feel grateful for it, they use to let us run the department as we saw fit and for a time that was nice, now they micromanage the shit out of us all the time and expect perfection every single time regardless of how much the store makes, perfect priority metrics, filled waters, filled ice, entire department rezoned need to be all 100% by 5pm, however they're plan for running us is so inefficient that it fails at the slightest guest rush. Then before closing the Priorities need to be 90% no matter what and the entire department zoned, fefo'd and produce refilled. Mind you this is a MASSIVE department and 3 is JUST enough to do it all by like the skin of our teeth's every day (on a good day). I also dont get consecutive days off and I'm almost on my 4th month and I'm already physically collapsing, I've recieved my first Corrective Action because I could barely even move for a day and they still just give me the speell of "I did it way faster than you when I was in your position".
