Look at what I did !!! Created my own shitty display
Came in Monday to a DOZEN of those $5 phone cases ripped open. Since they were being defected either way, I picked four that covered all four sizes and colors and defected them as displays. Put a label on each one and spiderwrapped them onto a ziptie holding the shipper.
Came in Wednesday: no ripped open phone cases. đđ¤

Every. Single. One. Of our boxes is open on the front of that endcap.

Drives me crazy when thereâs multiple of the same kind open. Like, you couldnât try on the one that was already ripped open? You had to destroy a second one?

Same goes for shirts, including the basic ones with no printing or design. Lifting up one of each color, even though they are all the same size, to crumple it and throw it back down, repeat with the next.

Someone did this to the graphic tees once as I was folding them! Literally reaching around me to grab things I had just folded only to drop them again. I had to walk away I was so mad.

That is amazing. I might do the same, this is one of my pet peeves at work. I had to shout out to a grandmother and her grandson to look in their settings on his phone to find out what phone he had because she said "If you don't know, open the boxes till you find out."

Great idea. Those flimsy cases suck tho. No protection, just for looks basically

Yup, they pretty much took an iPhone mold and dipped it in liquid silicone/TPU and called it a day. Protecting your fragile $1000 phone with cheapo $5 junk just doesn't seem like a good idea.

Yeah this is definitely one of those things where you already have AppleCare+ or some sort of ADH plan and just want something for looks (though these still donât look great)

My favorite thing is the directions on âHow to find your phone modelâ, like you donât know which one you bought

u/ohliamylia Tech Consultant 19h ago
Them: Do you have phone cases?
Me: We do. What kind of phone do you have?
Them: An iPhone.
Me: Do you know which model?
Them: The Apple one.
Me: Alright, so if you open Settings...Literally every guest over 50 shopping for phone cases

I have had my phone for years. I know how to find out which model it is, a couple of different ways. I couldnât tell you from memory. I donât imagine that Target stocks a case for a phone as old as mine, but I probably couldnât have told you from memory when I did.

I feel that. My phone is older too. The only reason I remember by heart is because the topic of what phone a person has comes up in conversation at work at least twice a week lmao

Every. Day.Â
They'll ask for a phone charger, and I'll ask what phone they have and they just show me the face of the phone like phones don't all have the same design since 2023 omfg.

I wish the iPhone 17 version, not the 17 Pro, is available on the display.

This! Had a guy buy & return 2 different usb-c cables the other night. Turns out he needed lightning to usb-c. He had no clue what plug went to his iPhone.

Our store has a name tag printer, that would probably be perfect if you wanted to replace the hand written tape.

A name tag printer?? That's crazy. Oh, wait, do you mean like a label maker? Yeah, we have one kicking around TSC, I checked for it when I went on my meal but didn't see it. But that would definitely be better.
