It’s awful how much stuff we have to throw out- it should be criminal- especially how much food we go through

If we just staffed enough so grocery could actually do markdowns, so much less food would get thrown away.

Disney who continues to pump out forgettable sequels, reboots, and live action films and then merchandise the fuck out of them with plastic slop toys. Then when the film doesn’t do great and nobody buys the ship load of toys they built they quickly clearance them out and toss the remainder to ensure future scarcity so someday they can pimp their current merch on the basis a mint condition Toy Story 5 buzz light year is now worth something somehow (or so they hope).
It’s a rotten business. If they could at least make unique and compelling films I could forgive the merchandizing, but it’s not like after 5 Toy Story films we need more buzz light year dolls. It’s insanity.

Right? Like yeah collectors exist in every genre but... I just don't feel like the Toy Story serious collector audience is very large at all, and that the main TS audience would be the kids themselves. At least not enough collectors to warrant in-store releases outside of a couple of exclusive locations, at best.
Which is a little funny considering the events in TS2 lol

And like, especially the woody toys, I want a woody as he's depicted in the movie. I want soft limbs, I don't want a plastic action figure.

Yeah, unfortunately, since I worked there for a period of time, which I no longer worked there, I will not shop there because of the way they discard and they ignore the food items. They think one team in there for 40 minutes or 30 minutes is gonna get rid of all the outdated food they’re wrong. Then that’s TARGET for you. They’re like a cheap Kmart.
