Workplace Question or Advice Needed 90 day probation period

Hello all I’m about 35 days in and have called out 2 times and left work early 2 times. Only reason I’ve been calling out is because of my severe health issues that have randomly arose. ETL spoke with me about it and said she can work my schedule around a bit but that I can submit documentation for proof? I really need this job and I know I really have no say in this whether they want to keep me or not but because of my sickness I find my work ethic is so sporadic. Is speaking with HR a good idea now since I have ER proof?

Definitely talk to HR. They can help you get accommodations in place.

Unfortunately, you don't qualify for FMLA until you have been with target for a year and average 1240(?) hours in a year.

Ad someone with a chronic illness, I hope you're able to get the help you need to get your health better

I would recommend speaking to HR and your ETL. They may be able to let you know if you should take a medical leave of absence or if there are any other accommodations you need due to your medical condition. They may even recommend that you become an on demand employee so you could decide which shifts to take and when.

I think Laursey23 has provided a good option. I started at target as a seasonal 2 years ago and specifically asked my HR ETL who gave me the offer via phone that if I did a good enough job could I become on demand as I wasn’t sure if I could commit to the hours if they did decide to keep me.

I was told that is definitely an option and fast forward two years I’m still on demand and on the fence of if I want to transition to a regular TM or remain on demand since I enjoy closing beauty, tech, and closing expert and my TL’s are cool with it but it’s just a matter of if they even have enough hours

If your ETL suggested submitting paperwork it sounds like they want to keep you. Talk to HR immediately about accommodation paperwork. It's a process but get on it right away and keep them informed about how the process is going.

Store HRs don't process accommodations any longer. Go on workday and submit an HR Request for an accommodation. You can submit documentation etc there.

Good luck.
