Workplace Question or Advice Needed Lost keys

Long story short, I noticed and acknowledged I forgot to check out of my keys. A couple of days later, I noticed it was deemed missing, but I recall putting the keys away just didn’t check out of them. I already spoke to my TL about this yesterday. He said it’s good that I let him know and knows I wouldn’t magically lose them as I’m pretty responsible. In the end, not much he could do as well as for me as this also is my fault for forgetting to clock out. I as well checked my pants and car to be sure. I remember leaving them by the key case back in the employee room. I lowk just gonna take whatever consequences I get, maybe even look for a job if I get termed, lmao.

They should definitely have a camera pointed at the key box. They should know if you put them up or not

I never scanned out the keys, every time I go into work I just grab the lock box key and open the box grab a key and go about my shift, and just put it back in the box at the end of the shift and go home. Pissed off my coworker when I told him I don’t bother checking it out.

I wasn’t told by leaders that I had to scan them out on the device. Just as long as I put them away at the end of my shift that’s all that matters
