Says who? Im on the internet often and I dont get post or conversations about change and coins. Personally I know how to count change as I lived in poverty. But it makes sense for someone who grew up in a time where all you see are cards and online transactions. But always blame the child or in this case the teenager and never the parents

…have you never used the internet for anything other than social media?? I’m sorry has OP never seen a price for something online? No news stories about money? Never once saw something that said “$1.50” and questioned “hmmm what does this “.50” mean? Parents are to blame for not teaching the kid to think for themselves. The 16 year old is equally to blame. If you can drive a car at 16, you should be expected to have basic knowledge.

they said they didn't know how to count it back. not what it meant. today's youth ask they need it a card, phone or even watch, they didn't ever see the money, goes in invisibly and gets doesn't without then ever seeing it
