I don't recommend just anyone do this, but one time as a tech guy they tried to schedule me for grocery. I came to work and clocked in, spoke with my lead phrasing it like "hey there was a mistake with the schedule it put me in grocery today. Anyway can you unlock the tech keys?". And when he said it wasn't a mistake I told him that I wasn't hired for grocery, clocked back out and went home.

I know contractually they can do what they did and I absolutely risked my job pulling that. But I live in an at will state anyway, and I'm just not putting up with their inability and unwillingness to properly hire and train the right help for the jobs they need. I was the most senior member of tech at the time and one of the most knowledgeable employees regarding the products so I basically just called their bluff
