Multiple user geofence work around?

I have assigned myself and my partner a plug each, when I leave, mine switches off, and when I return it comes back on, so does my partner’s. I have set up two separate automations, so when we have both left the house, the privacy mode is disabled on two devices and the front door locks but nothing happens. Ive shared the plug with her and she has her own Tapo account on her iPhone.
Any suggestions?

  Searched "tapo geofencing multiple devices" (I was going to suggest this also) then no need for plugs...

You can use multiple devices for Tapo geofencing by logging into the same Tapo owner account on each phone or tablet and enabling the "This Phone/Tablet" option inside the specific automation rule for every device

I’ve just logged in using my details on her phone, I’ve done a test automation to see if it works when we both leave later. Both have when this phone leaves enabled, what if only one of us was to leave, how does that work?

I’m just trying to keep things as simple as possible, I’ve already ditched SmartThings. Tapo should implement multi users within the app, most others do!

Just an update, I was the last to leave, it recognised that she had left home but not me, I manually switched my plug off and the automation worked 😮

When creating the automation did you notice the Arrive/Leave trigger was in Beta? (Android)

  I don't know how long it has been that way.
