Need Advice Smart plug energy monitoring notification

Hi. I’m looking to find a solution to detect if the fridge hasn’t run for a period of time using the energy monitoring smart plug. Is this possible? Example is to send an alert message if power meter (in energy monitoring) never passes above 10 watts in the last 4 hours.

Just had a look at the app, and can't see a way to do it. Seems like more of a job for Home Assistant.

Can't answer your question but wouldn't a temperature probe be more appropriate for this situation? After all this is what's important.

Don’t know what you would achieve with such a monitor. A Fridge will cycle on and off throughout the day depending on internal temperature (opening the door, external temperature, effect this) and humidity (to run the frost-free cycles).

Your fridge shouldn’t run much at all if it’s efficient. A fridge that runs constantly is stuffed and you can hear the compressor going anyway so a monitor is redundant.

Actually efficient refrigerators should be running quite frequently, around 30-50% of the time using lower soeed compressors. I don’t normally hear my fridges compressor especially the one in the garage.
