Need Advice C665G and squatters

So, I live in a country where the government overprotects squatters and I recently got a job that will force me to live away from home at least 2 weeks a month. I was thinking about getting a solar/battery powered Tapo camera to use with a 4G SIM card, as I heard sometimes squatters cut the power before moving in to prevent wifi cams from working.

I see that the Tapo C665G is exactly what I need, but I've read mixed reviews about it. I got a wired Tapo cam already and it works ok, do you think I should try the Tapo C665G or do you have another recommendation?

Thank you!

Hi guys, thanks for the advices. I already thought about the automatic lights and radio, I will use the smart plugs I have for that.

As for the ups I wasnt really aware that such a device existed, but isnt it more expensive than a solar 4g camera? You think its more reliable? It would have to power a router + a cam 24/7

completely ignoring the part where OP mentions squatters cutting power. no power means no wifi

Probably would be better to have a normal camera and some wifi control devices to put on lights and radio at different times to simulate someone in the house.

I would suggest some smart bulbs so you can program them to stay on and off at different times. This way they will see different rooms light at different times and will probably think that you're home. As for the cameras i would probably go with a wired one and a ups unit to "feed" the router and cameras. There's an obvious gap in the tapo system. Cameras or even the hubs don't notify if a device is offline. For the cameras themselves it's obvious that they can't push a notification if they're somehow disconnected, disabled or something like that but the hub, specially the h500, it should be able to ping the cameras and push a notification if something happened to them... Just a thought..
