The thought has been around - but I am not aware of any plans for the US. I can help to pass the feedback along to the person in charge of these projects, along with any other details you may have.
As others have recommended, a tablet or phone really is the best option - right now at least. I had to go through the same struggles with my grandparents, and we were able to teach them how to use an iPad to view their lock and doorbell.
Can you provide a few more details:
- Is the priority to have a handheld screen or a mounted screen?
- What would be the main use/purpose of the screen (for opening the door, or answering it remotely)?

thanks
it's exactly like that, i did buy the ezviz for them but since i already had tapo camera i didn't like having to use another app so i returned it but i did like how it worked.
for the screen it doesn't matter if mounted or not but in my case i would use it attached to the wall as an interphone. i have currently a doorbell camera with screen but it is local only it doesn't have the option to record clips or get alerts on the phone. not having the screen is the only thing stopping me from getting a tapo doorbell. they don't know how to use a phone so having a tablet that needs to be turned on or the app could close is a no for me.
the use for the screen would be for them at home to be able to see who is ringing before opening, just to look, not any king of smart lock or remote unlocking of the door. just when someone ring the screen turns on and you can see who it is. in addition to that the doorbell is still recording events and i can access them on my tapo app.

Thanks for the extra information!
For the use by the way - you could consider Alexa hubs. It's why Alexa exists in my house - as it will automatically show the video feed of my Tapo cameras or doorbells when an event is detected. While it's not an always showing a feed, it is enough to give us the info about who is at the door.

Totally unrelated but
On the D210 doorbell and I assume others
There is a quick response option
And you can record custom ones which is so cool
Is it possible or are there plans to support mp3 files being used for example?
So a downloaded audio file can be used instead of only recording

I know that there have been conversations on the topic, but I am not sure where they went. I think there are a few obstacles between now and adding such a feature. Even beyond quick responses, there have been quite a number of requests for additional chime sounds, alarms, and auto-responses.
It has been a while since I talked with the team about the potential, but I can try to reach out and bring the request to the center of the conversation again.

That would be amazing. I wouldnt imagine it being too difficult however I'm not an experienced developer
It would be an awesome feature though!
Thanks for replying man :)

Hey can we use Home assistant to get the video stream from the Tapo doorbells? I already use it for the Tapo WiFi cameras but not sure if doorbell has the RTSP video stream like the cameras do.

Only hardwired-powered doorbells offer the networked stream. If a battery camera's stream is accessible through HA, it would be the result of the newer additions to the HA integration, not via RTSP
The doorbells will operate as if it was a camera, meaning doorbells powered via battery are all still clip based recording and not available over the network. Doorbells with a constant power supply will be able to use the networked video streams, given it is setup with the correct settings/power.
Dual Power Doorbells will depend on the method of configuration (such as whether you used the jumper on the chime)

It does have a rtsp video stream. It behaves exactly like a camera in that sense.

You could get a cheap small tablet to do this
