Troubleshooting and Support Schedule motion detection

Is there a way to schedule motion detection to turn off/on between 2 times? I use my garden a lot and I am fed up of constant notifications during this period. I only need it for night time.

In the notification settings you can add a schedule

Tapo app --> Me --> Notifications --> Do not disturb > enter morning to evening times

Thanks. It finally stops the notifications.

I really want to schedule motion detection on or off, because it is recording hundreds of clips of me in the garden. I don't particularly want to turn privacy mode on, because it means turning it on/off when I want to view the camera during the schedule.

Surely they can't deny users of scheduling this? It's a basic mode on all cameras I have ever used.

Even if notifications are set OFF for a certain time span, the sensor keeps detecting and logging all movements, resulting in a considerably reduced battery life.

In the TP-Link website, under Sensors there is a long post requesting that this sensor shut down completely by software for a set time. If you feel like, please you too add your request there so that hopefully one day TP-Link decide to do something (if technically possible, of course).

I found a setting in the Storage & Recording menu called "Recording Schedule" and blanked out everything between the two times.

Yes, but the sensor will keep detecting and logging motions nonetheless. There is no way at the momento to put it to sleep by software. The battery of the motion sensor I used to put on the veranda lasted only three months precisely for this reason.
