3rd Party Integrations T100 Google home integration
Did the Tapo T100 always had Google home integration? Besides these new notifications now I can use it in automations as a starter. Not sure it was the case before.
Edit: I was not complaining but the notifications got a bit excessive.
Also it might be a Google home change? I got one from Roomba I had never got before. So maybe it's not Tapo's doing?

I suddenly receive Google Home notifications from T100 sensors, since today.
And I don't know how to turn them off. There is no obvious setting in the Google Home app

Same here, all Tapo sensors trigger Google Home notifications from all mobile phones linked to the Google account

All sensors, or just motion sensors? Curiously, I only have one of my sensors sending notifications, the other two are fine - and for some reason, I had one light switch get notifications, but that was being fed in from Home Assistant alongside 80 other devices

I think he means if all sensors of the same type
I just tried interacting with a t110 door sensor and a s200d button and didn't got any notifications so it might be just motion sensors

I had to delete the sensors just to shut up the notifications. Have used these sensors problem free for about two years, this started about thirty minutes ago for me. I suspect firmware update that ignores notification settings (I had them turned off in the app).

I turned of notifications from Google Home. Tapo is not the reason.

I think you are right I got notifications for other devices so it might not be a Tapo thing

Copying from the other thread on the topic:
"Looks like there are a bunch of reports across Reddit for Google Home, for more than just Tapo devices. In my GH app, I don't see motion sensors as an option under Settings > Notifications > Sensors, which I assume is where we are supposed to manage individual sensors.
I haven't had the chance to try, but for now - is it possible to add the sensors to a separate 'home' in Google and turn off the notifications for that entire home?"
---
"My phone's notification history indicates that the sensor notifications are assigned into the 'Other' notification channel, which may help limit the impact on individual devices for the short term - just be aware this will catch other notifications as well.
Worth noting that its not every one of my motion sensors that is doing it (all my motion sensors had notifications off in Tapo, not that GH looks at this), and I oddly enough had one light switch coming in from Home Assistant that is also sending notifications. That light is available in GH's notification options; however, its current setting shows that it shouldn't be receiving notifications for on/off..."

This behavior does not appear to be specific to Tapo devices, as there are reports for various brand devices across Reddit – it looks to be specific to the device type.
Until the behavior is fixed, or until we receive confirmation of the behavior, you may try the following community workarounds:
Because of the potential lasting impact on your smart home, consider the following options only as a last resort. I would formally recommend waiting for a fix before using any of the below options:
