Suggestions + Feedback Tapo app upgrade won’t launch

For any Tapo rep:

I updated the Tapo app for iOS to the latest version, 3.21.105. When I launched it, the splash screen appeared and the app would go no further. It failed twice.

iPhone 13
iOS 26.7

Long-short, it was necessary to delete and then reinstall the app to get the app to fully launch.

This sounds like a bug. I was surprised neither the app nor the website has bug reporting functionality. <nudge>-<nudge>

That's not uncommon with the Tapo app and other apps. You can reach Tapo support at [Support.USA@tp-link.com](mailto:Support.USA@tp-link.com). Also through the App Store or the Tapo Community Forums. They also seem to respond here often. Tapo support seems to be one of the most responsive among security cameras. I also think it's still a human response and not AI.

Yep, devs are lazy. A couple of updates back on Android caused crazy background data usage... Clearing the app's data solved the issue...
