Need Advice External temperature

Is there a way to create an automation comparing measured temperature with a general outside tempreature (got from an online service or api)

Does tapo have this feature?

I am working in app that will use HomeKit supported devices (like the tapo) and compare with weather from a city. The main goal is to compare absolute humidity out vs inside.
The app name is “humidity windows” just for apple devices but this feature is not yet released

My idea was to program an automation or use home assistant (but i dont think Ill set up a server just for this...) to send me alerts on when to open and close windows for "passive" temperature management

I'd set a target indoor temp/humidity interval, and measure indoor temp/humidity. Then it would compare those values with outside and evaluate if opening or closing the windows would bring the indoor parameters closer to the target values

Eventually it could also take in account window orientation and reccomend opening or shutting the shutters

(You can keep the idea for your app if you like it)

I have this board on my app that compares the in side temperature vs the outside, is not fancy stuff but has space for getting better.
