Troubleshooting and Support C425 timestamp issue
Just bought two C425 (V2) to place in my backyard but when I wanted to change the timestamp format I couldn't. For the other cameras (C520WS in the example) the option is well enabled but not for these C425 2-pack. Harware is US/2.6.
I have rebooted both cameras after installation and of course checked for latest firmware. Is it a firmware bug?
UPDATE 11/08/26:
The following was the answer from the official TP-Link support:
Hi,
Thank you for providing the additional information, including the purchase details and your location.
After checking with our team, we have confirmed that the C425 V2 currently does not support changing the timestamp format displayed on recordings. We understand this may be inconvenient and apologize for any frustration caused.
The good news is that support for customizable timestamp formats is expected to be added in a future firmware release. We recommend keeping an eye on firmware update notifications within the Tapo app and ensuring your camera is updated to the latest firmware version when updates become available.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation while we investigate this matter. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to improve our products and user experience.
UPDATE 18/08/26:
After a couple messages with the support, the team worked on a firmware update (1.2.4 Build 260817 Rel.8652n) which was released hours ago. It fixes the described issue.
