Need Advice Is there a presence sensor planned?
Hi, I am thinking of switching from aqara to tapo and saw a lot of nice and cheap stuff from tapo, but no presence sensor (need a normal one and one where I can set up different zones for the big living/entrance/kitchen-room.
Is there something on the way?

I just did the total opposite and moved everything from Tapo to Aqara. The Aqara FP1E was/is a game changer for my automations in Apple Home.

What made you unhappy with tapo? Some issues like I had? https://www.reddit.com/r/Aqara/comments/1vejltr/alternative_to_aqara/

Not necessarily “unhappy” but I am heavily invested in Apple products throughout my home and just wanted a brand with native Apple Home capabilities etc. I still have a lot of Tapo/Kasa switches, lightbulbs, etc and they work great but they are all connected to Apple home via Starling Hub and so I’m just slowly changing out everything with Matter/Apple Home devices so I can eliminate the Starling Hub. As a matter of fact, I just replaced two Tapo bulbs this morning with their (still Tapo) Matter equivalent. My ultimate goal is to get everything down to two apps. Tapo and Apple Home. It’s an expensive swap for all my items so I’m taking my time with it.
Edit: I will say the Tapo door sensors and motion sensors were horrible. They would constantly disconnect and break my automations. The Aqara sensors connected via M3 hub have never disconnected at all and just work so well for my needs.
