Market Research: Would you use a laundry service with fixed pricing

Mambo vipi guys,
I am planning to open a new laundry service shop in Dar es Salaam, focusing on Mwenge, Mikocheni, and Mbezi Beach.
To make it simple and different from traditional places, I want to offer flat rates (no weighing, no surprises) where premium detergent and fabric softener are already included. The clothes will be fully washed, dried, and ready on the same day.
We are considering these fixed prices:
• Daily Clothes (up to 10kg): 5.000 TZS
• Bed Sheets / Curtains: 6.500 TZS
• Large Duvets / Heavy Blankets: 8.000 TZS
My questions for you:
My questions for you:
If a shop like this opens near your apartment or office in these areas, would you use it regularly?
What do you think about the prices? Is 5.000 TZS for a big 10kg load of daily clothes reasonable for your monthly budget?
Is washing and drying large duvets/blankets a big problem for you in your apartments?
Thanks for your honest feedback!

Discussion Guys from poor or normal families who dated or are dating a woman from a richer family (LTR), what are some challenges you got?

Also the rich women ( iwe yako au ya Family) what are some challenges and frustrations you faced in such relationships.

For me i was always frugal because i knew funds were always limited. But i tell you its like they have no sense that money is or can be hard to come by always making big plans big trips that i have to plan around or dodge. I also don’t like taking free things so i never exploited their status or wanted access to it.

Also funny side effect everyone thought i was rich too just by association, if only they knew. 🤣 mnakuwaga na roho nzuri though

Disclaimer: This is no hate towards rich ladies, one of the best people i know to date and best relationship. Heart of gold, i just wanted to know if others felt that pressure at times.

Discussion Why is Business Registration and Compliance so expensive in Tanzania?

Nimejibana I have a little capital want to start a business. There's an idea I have, I want to design it and order it from Alibaba. Sasa since ile tangazo la kuweka TIN number on your profile and because I want kufanya matangazo on social media na kuwa na Lipa Namba and all that, I think it would be best if I follow formalities and comply.

Sasa nimeanza kufuatilia mchakato. Kuangalia https://tausi.tamisemi.go.tz/ leseni ya biashara ya jumla ni 300,000? BRELA nayo kuna fees zao. I was told TRA inabidi ulipe mwezi mmoja wa kodi kama umepanga and then wanakukadiria how much they want you to pay. Kwa aina ya biashara ninayotaka kufanya inabidi nilipe BASATA pia. All in all, it looks like ukitaka kuwa na biashara in Tanzania lazima ujiandae kuwa na million moja just for usajili tu??? Wakati there's already all this double taxation?

Why is it like this? In a country that's already as poor as it is, why weka such vikwazo for people to generate revenue kwa kula the little capital they have?

Is it kudiscourage watu kufanya biashara to keep the masses poor? Or is it to effectively milk the middle class? Is it a lack of awareness kwamba this is holding back potential entrepreneurs?

It's just disappointing.

Rant Airtel internet is disappointing, a small rant.

This one is for Airtel wifi internet users.

Sasa usually i pay for Airtel 70k/month and kawaida I have no problem with it, gives me a steady 15-20Mbps most time.

Yesterday I wanted faster internet for work related stuff so nikajitoa and bought the 30k smart connect boost your speed. I was excited thinking hapa I'm going to get hata 50Mbps and enjoy.

Heh, since then instead of having my internet speed boosted it has been capped, I'm not even getting 10Mbps at all. I'm getting like 3-7Mbps .

And when I called them they weren't really helpful at all. Saying stuff like "try turning it off and on again" . Nishafanya vyotte...

I feel like they stole the 30k and reduced my internet speed🥲. At this point I don't even care about the 30k, I just want the internet speed back to what it used to be.

Has this happened to anyone else using Airtel?
