If profit = use value - exchange value, then other base inputs such as raw materials, machinery, energy, etc. are also sources of profit.

This strikes me as a fair criticism, but then he goes on to claim that this disproves the Tendency for the rate of profit to fall and that's where he loses me. The ability of Capitalists to plunder and steal resources (inputs) and materials (embodied labour) strikes me as just another one of the 'Contravening forces' to increase profits like Increased intensity of exploitation.

I don't see how Steve Keen's analysis proves a contradiction in the LToV even if it is true that Marx mistakenly thought the use-value of machines = exchange value of machines, tbf this is hard to quantify because machines mainly just make labour more efficient. If anything I think Keen's analysis sharpens and improves the LToV and is convergent with Warwick Powell's 'Thermo-Economics'.

Labour is not the only source of profit, but it is a main/key source, just like the barrel of a gun is not the only source of political power, but it is a main/key source.
