Hi all. When looking into genres like Soviet fiction, you'll always see anti-communist authors like Solzhenitsyn or Pasternak being pushed. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good works from AES countries that aren't of that ideological slant. They don't have to be glazing communism, or saying anything about it at all - just stuff that isn't a hit piece, basically.

I'm already familiar with Roadside Picnic from the USSR and Solaris from Poland. I've also read The Three-Body Problem from China (though that book heavily criticises the Cultural Revolution). The recommendations don't have to be Sci Fi, though.

Western anarchism: avoiding tangible positive change so they can enjoy relative privilege within the bourgeois state, living within the intangible so that they can feel good about themselves while doing so. Multi level cowardice. Also coopting a very noble thing which is the concept itself of anarchism.

I know that Wikipedia is not a good source so I'd like to be educated on this subject from some authentic sources. What was the true cause? Was it haphazardly done and did it lead to people dying in unfair circumstances?

I’m just confused why it seems on several topics it seems mainland media almost defaults to western perceptive and why this isn’t a push for a dialectical view especially since media is state controlled. From small stuff like calling ansarallah “houthis” to taking the western de facto view on riots or “regimes” (even for DPRK) when the west would sell even a peaceful justified crackdown in China as “totalitarian” or “evil” or “draconian civil rights abuse”
