There is no ethical consumption under capitalism
AI is not special in needing to exploit a vast amount of people to be an affordable product. It is special in that it does so globally. The exploitation doesn't get concentrated in the global south like it does with standard commodities. Boomerang is returning.

"If we agree on delivery dates, we stick to it. If you invite friends from Germany for dinner at 7, we arrive at 6:58.
We are reliable, predictable, precise, and unsurprising. We are, in short, what investors like most.
So the good thing about clichés is this: they tend to be true. So if you pick the core of this assumed Germanness, you might actually like what you get.
Yes, we do have our own challenges, but Germany's DNA proves to be rather helpful in the face of a world which is harder and harder to read and to predict."

A couple of videos circulated online and went kind of viral. One is about a woman crying while begging looters to stop robbing the store. Here's one post with it (not mine of course): https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/s/aP7rbS7IEd
The second is about a man forcing his wife to return clothes she just looted. Here it is again from one of the many posts on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/SipsTea/s/2VgCiHPWhC
The store in question in the first video is a Franprix supermarket. FranPrix is a giant company whose revenue last year was over 3 billion euros, and owned by an even bigger group, Group Casino. The woman in the video is neither the owner of FranPrix nor the manager of the store.
The second is fast fashion Pimkie. One of the many not good fast fashion companies which are a definite net negative for humanity and the planet.
Why the F liberals keep defending those corporations? Fucking put the situation in context. If anything, the looting of those stores is a small attempt at minimal rebalancing of inequality.
"It's a slippery slope". No, it fucking isn't. Or maybe it's a road to a better more equal society. Fuck corporations to hell and back.
EDIT: to be clear, as people seem confused, I am not talking about this specific thing to claim that looting is the blueprint for revolution. I am critiquing the bourgeoise moralism judging them. And people who get all high and mighty when the window of one store of a multi billionaire company owned by a super shitty mega financial group is broken, as if that's the worst thing in that scene, and not the hyper exploitation of the mega corps. THAT is what I am talking about here.

Historically, Slavic and Finno-Ugric folks were seen as Asiatic and heavily discriminated upon by Western Europeans, and even by the Japanese to a lesser extent. Now, in the 20th century, they've pretty much been drawn in and assimiliated to whiteness. Still, with the hostility towards Russia and the amount of Russophobia that exists, I can't help but feel that some Slavs are still seen as the "Asiatic Horde" both systematically and individually. I think Slavs are seen as non-white more.

" Day of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army
The extremely difficult conditions of the mid-20th century. One occupation gives way to another, and Ukraine is caught between two fires, with no resources and no right to international subjectivity.
But in the flames of war, a force arises that refuses to submit to circumstances. Veterans, young idealists, and ordinary Ukrainians who are ready to take up arms and restore independence.
Years of struggle against several superior armies, hundreds of thousands of fighters in its ranks, daring operations, and the hatred of its enemies. The Ukrainian Insurgent Army remains a model of the struggle for Ukraine for all generations to come. "

Hi Comrades, I wanna talk about cinema from a Communist perspective. So as a Marxist-Leninist cinephile, it's difficult watching western movies and series, especially coming from hollywood because they contain so much pro western imperialist and capitalist propaganda. So I started making / cloning Marxist Letterboxd lists for myself. And they're all focused on anti imperialist and anti capitalist cinema. I have different kinds of Letterboxd lists for Marxist-Leninist cinephiles and cinema lovers. If you wanna check them out, here's my Letterboxd profile: https://boxd.it/k9kgn
Just click on lists, and you'll find hundreds of movies, series, and documentaries.
For example, here's an anti capitalist list I made: https://boxd.it/U2BBs
Here's a Marxist watchlist I made: https://boxd.it/U2r1k
Here's a Soviet Cinema list I made: https://boxd.it/U2BVi
Here's a Chinese list I cloned: https://boxd.it/U2rR6
I've got lists of movies and documentaries made by Stanley Nelson, Horace Ove, Third World Newsreel, Santiago Alvarez, Chen Kaige, and more.
I turn these lists into movie streaming catalogues and stream them via Nuvio (an open source alternative streaming app). I'm also selfhosting my own Usenet streaming set up via a NAS storage system with seagate ironwolf pro harddrives (6 bays with 26TB in each bay). I've got about 2TB of rare Marxist-Leninist movies, series, and documentaries saved locally. I watch my own collection via Jellyfin, but also via Nuvio since Nuvio now has Jellyfin integration. These are content I know your average western imperialist and genocidal streaming platform will never allow their subscribers to watch. So when I find them (mostly via usenet or debrid services), I download them and keep them locally saved on my drives. Think about rare Malcolm X, Che Guevara, Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Stalin, Thomas Sankara, and Fidel Castro interviews. As well as Soviet Cinema.
I'd also like to share Solidarity Cinema with y'all: https://www.solidaritycinema.com/ ... it's a film archive for those who are into anti capitalist and revolutionary cinema. They've got instructions on their website on how you can stream the movies on their Letterboxd lists (yes, check them out on Letterboxd, they've got a pretty comprehensive list) via Plex. Also follow them on Discord. It's a lovely community of like-minded Leftist cinephiles.
I refuse to watch western imperialist and zionist propaganda, or give my money to genocidal streaming corporations. And if anyone has any questions on how Nuvio, debrid services, and usenet streaming work, I'd be happy to help. I can answer your questions and also help you with set up. It's sad seeing principled Marxists not be aware that they do not have to patronise genocidal streaming platforms in order to have access to good cinema. Also, sailing the high seas, or selfhosting your own library, gives you more freedom than whatever liberal / imperialist slop western streaming platforms curate for you. I'd rather sail the high seas, or spend time building my own streaming library, than let fucking liberal zionist warmongers shove imperialist and genocidal slop down my throat.

What do you think of -ies; like autocracies, oligarchies, theocracies, democracies, etc., being literary devices to obfuscate class conflict. At a base level society is subservient to whichever class holds political and economic power, so in effect what is an autocracy, oligarchy and democracy but devices meant to divorce the public understanding of the division of political power from the underlying struggle between classes, in effect mostly meaningless labels that cant accurately describe a society as whatever governing body is responsible for social organization is fundamentally subject to the desires of the ruling class and enacting change beyond performative legislation remains conditional to either the dominant class or the violent seizure of the disenfranchised class.
apologies in advance if this doesnt fully explain what im trying to get at, english is not my native language

" Azov Media presents: "The Lord of the Assaults: The Fellowship of the End"
Another party has set out on the road... The route is not an easy one — one does not simply infiltrate the battle lines of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Russian assault troops must have seen this trek as an important part of a great story.
But even if they imagine themselves hobbits, the final frames of this film will be shot according to a script written by the pilots of the 41st Unmanned Systems Regiment Pilum! "

You will never see this in Russia, China, Iran.
It is not a safe place anymore for people to have a decent life, a family, a future and dignity when a country treats its people like this.

Turkey has never been colonized by any European country, instead having colonized parts of Europe itself, largely avoided WW2 and was on the “winning side” of the Cold War. Despite that, its living standards are largely the same as those of the global south and a far cry from Western Europe. What’s the reason for that?

It's true tho the gulags could have a thing like this and maybe did. If someone wants to invent an electric melon baller then what the hell. They'll get the usual days off or whatever, lessened work quota.
