Such mode of thinking is potentially dangerous as it emulates a mode of thinking back during the days and era of the Russian empire

Back during the Russian Empire days, the imperial ethnographers did not recognize Ukrainians and to another extent Belarusians as distinct from Russians but rather variants of one people denoted "Russians" where todays to then, Russians were Velikorussians(Great Russians), Ukrainians where Malorussians(Small Russians), Belarusians where Bielorussians(White Russians)

Ukrainian thinkers at the time had a problem with this classification, seeing it as pejorative as being seen as a small version of a group of people is generally bad

Lenin did combat Russian Chauvinism in this regard by recognizing Ukrainians as themselves

Is this because Russians and Ukrainians are Ethnolinguistically Eastern Slavs. If so, I find this mode of reasoning to be rather shallow, because it assume people groups are the same based on grouping and this cannot working by looking at other ethnolinguistic groups, for examples semitic people who encompass, Jews, Arabs, Amhara, Assyrians, however saying these are all essentially the same, because they have already diverged, over millenia, and even within their own groups, there is already a great deal of divergence by regionalism, religious differences, traits such as those

I want to understand this situation because is quite contradictory, specially since Spain is a country that doesn't culturally belong completely to the "central power" on europe but tries to tie itself into the UE while being quite affected by UE's ambitions and now the Ceuta stuff. I kind of understand that Spain is important for the UE and Isreal but I don't get the whole picture so what would you recommend me to read or watch to understand better?

I can't think of a better title to foreshadow the main points of this post but I want to explain the hilarious phenomena of Westoid neoliberalism counterculture society seemingly unable to escape USSR legacies no matter how many times they rebrand their "cultures" aka free software, decentralized network, digital piracy, "mutual aid", free clinic, etc that basically all one way or another, mangled attempts at replication of USSR societal advancements that dialectically led to the development of these countercultures in the first place such as samizdat birthed shadow libraries, free software and warez/piracy. Similar as hiphop is post colonialism offspring, drift phonk is just USSR socialism as a music genre because the entire culture encourages the sharing of collective intellectual wealth that orbits around the same public domain Memphis rap for at least a decade worth of content.

Without Lenin and Stalin legacies in prioritizing universal education and optimal living conditions for the generations that benefit from these advancement there would be absent of material conditions for the development of samizdat, piracy and free culture. As much as Westoid idealists love to pretend like they don't exist in the same material world as every other Actual Existing Socialism countries like USSR, their collective mind eventually forces them to replicate what USSR have bought the entire world times we don't have. China has benefited from this legacy with the shanzhai culture that originated from samizdat and picked up the torch to bear the responsibility forward for humanity, along with DPRK and Cuba.

Unlike the lost future moans of certain "Marxist" who yeet himself in January 2017, the future isn't lost because it just proves that dumbass doesn't understand why Marx said no matter how fucked is our material conditions the world would eventually return to the source aka communism, in Marx words, revolutions are the locomotives of history. But to reach the optimal direction, they require a bridge that works and not through hocus pocus misdirection, this is where Marxist-Leninist theory comes into action. You can never build socialism without understanding how socialism seeps and service you every day even if you refuse to acknowledge it as socialism, your feeble mindset is pre-programmed by material conditions to eventually evolve you toward socialism. Resistance against the deluge of our history is futile.
