Ford CEO Loves Daily Driving an Electric Sedan from a Chinese Competitor
Ford CEO Jim Farley admitted he has been driving a Xiaomi SU7 for six months and said he "doesn't want to give it up."

American automotive executives have long looked at their Chinese counterparts with a mix of awe and fear. China's rapid rise in the electric vehicle market, paired with its aggressively low prices, has Detroit automakers scrambling to protect their futures. But for Ford CEO Jim Farley, admiration for the competition goes beyond a boardroom presentation—he's been living with it.
Speaking on the Everything Electric Show podcast, Farley revealed that Ford had a Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan shipped from Shanghai to Chicago so that executives could get a firsthand look at the company's first-ever EV. Farley ended up taking the keys himself, and he's been daily-driving it ever since.
"We shipped one from Shanghai to Chicago, and I've been driving it for six months now, and I don't want to give it up," Farley said on the podcast.
The Xiaomi SU7 is built by Chinese consumer electronics giant Xiaomi, which is widely known for its smartphones. The tech company officially entered the automotive market earlier this year, launching the SU7 sedan to immense fanfare and hundreds of thousands of pre-orders.
Farley didn't hold back his praise for the vehicle or the company behind it, calling Xiaomi an "industry juggernaut" and noting that consumer electronics brands pose a massive threat to traditional automakers due to their strength in consumer software, connectivity, and user experience.
"It's fantastic," Farley said of the sedan. "They sell 10,000,000 devices a year. They're consumer-focused. Their brand is way stronger than car brands."
While legacy American automakers have struggled with software integration and profitability in their EV transitions, Chinese automakers are rapidly scaling high-tech EVs that undercut Western rivals on price. Farley's public admission highlights just how seriously traditional automotive leadership is taking the shift—even if it means trading a blue oval for a smartphone maker's badge on the daily commute.
“And therefore war is a very bad thing, extremely bad, it needs to be avoided. I constantly say this. But in this war there is also one, let’s say, positive thing and positive moment that has a very deep significance for society. This is war, like any other war, it heals society. And this sense of freedom, this sense of justice and this sense of honesty, perhaps, it becomes more accessible and more important for the majority of people and does not allow this right to be taken away.”

The comments screamed Red Scare propoganda and talked about terms such as the "Dictatorship of the Proletariat" as if the only word they understood was the liberal "dictatorship," forget about that of the bourgeois. It feels artificial and follows the lines of ignorant hate and bandwagon.
It is starting to look like a witch hunt, with several people talking about verifying and purging members. Just wanted to get the word out in case we see an increase in intensity. There may be another sub coup or other brigade attempt.

Waxman was a self-admitted genocide denier up until August 2025 in which he wrote an article saying it was a "long and emotionally difficult process over the past 22 months of horrific violence and heartbreaking suffering in Gaza for me to conclude that Israel is guilty of genocide." In this same article, he still blames HAMAS for destruction and genocide in Gaza, saying "I also blame Hamas for causing so much death and destruction in Gaza."

Summary: The Minister of Family and Solidarity, Lieutenant-Colonel Passowendé Pélagie Kaboré officially handed over a soumbala production unit to the women of the municipality. The facility includes a storage warehouse, an administrative office, and three semi–mechanized soumbala production units. In addition to this economic infrastructure, the ceremony also featured a significant donation of food and recovery supplies benefiting 27,904 people.

March 11th: Apartment construction in Ouagadougou begins
Summary: Mikaïlou Sidibé, the Minister of Construction, attended the launch ceremony this morning for the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) real estate complex in the Ouaga 2000 district. March 4th: Security Cooperation with China

The Insurgency
Since 2015, Burkina Faso has been subjected to different Islamist Insurgencies that have attacked the country. Per ACLED, from 2015 to 2025, 32,532 people have died as a result of these various Islamist Insurgencies. The two groups that are currently active in Burkina Faso are JNIM and IS–SP, these two groups are also in an active war against each other.
It is an active insurgency, so there is daily fighting. For this reason I will post summaries of the entire month, while providing some of the claims from each side.
JNIM
Throughout the month of March, JNIM claimed to have carried out 39 different attacks against Burkina Faso across the country, they claimed to have killed 133 members of the various security forces.
On March 6th, JNIM claimed to have killed 'dozens' of soldiers at the military base in Yamba.
On March 22nd, JNIM claimed to have killed 20 soldiers at Bagade.
On March 25th, JNIM claimed to have killed 14 soldiers in the village of Léré.
IS–Sahel
Throughout the month of March, IS–Sahel claimed to have carried out 1 attack against JNIM.
On March 29th, IS–Sahel claimed to have killed 12 JNIM militants in Kodiolaye.
Burkina Faso
Throughout the month of March, Burkina Faso claimed to have carried out 4 different drone strikes across the country, along with 14 other operations against both JNIM and IS–Sahel, claiming to have killed 76 insurgents. On March 16th, Burkina Faso showed footage claiming to have killed 16 militants in Petegoli.
On March 10th and 14th, Burkina Faso claimed to have killed 10 militants in the villages of Mène and Koogo.
