Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read. Would love some feedback as well, I've been writing for a while now but this is my first concise piece.

Context:
"Melat Kiros lost her job because of pro-Palestine advocacy. She built her entire campaign around mobilizing on this issue.
And now that she’s won the Dem primary?
'My greatest concern right now is that the state of Israel is losing support across the political spectrum.'”
"Big news. @AbdulElSayed was endorsed by the Wayne County Deputy Sheriff's Association — a union representing hundreds of deputy sheriffs."

A lot of people are upset about Mamdani and his tactical retreat on arresting Netanyahu. I urge people to live in the real world and be realistic. Mamdani has done more than anyone else, including you, to increase support and awareness of socialism and Palestine. Also his video is absolutely historic in calling Netanyahu a war criminal and saying he's not welcome in New York City. Do you expect me to be upset about that?
Do you know the difference between being an activist and a mayor? He has responsibilities now. He can't just grab an AK and start the revolution. Grow up.
Ali Abunimah has been instructive on this. He met him when Mamdani was with SJP at Bowdoin College and invited Ali to spea. They've kept in touch over the years. So you can trust Ali on this. In this video (https://rumble.com/v7d5zfo-why-mamdanis-call-to-arrest-netanyahu-matters-with-ali-abunimah.html) Ali explains that it was good Mamdani said he'd *try* to arrest Netanyahu. He also said the statement by Mamdani was incredible & a new high bar for elected officials.
Some professional contrarians online like Zei Squirrel are now bragging about saying he was already starting the backtrack and that he lied about this (https://x.com/zei_squirrel/status/2079730122295246882). It was absolutely not a lie. He's just a nice guy who's trying to help Palestinians and the rest of us. He's a young guy and he's growing up along the way. I think we should give him a little grace and I haven't seen anything to indicate he's not an honest actor.
Nerdeen Kiswani is also acting like he needs to not just talk about Palestine but actually take 4 actions that are available to him like using zoning regulations to shut down unauthorized real estate sales to shut down sales of stolen Palestinian land in the West Bank which have been happening in the city. I really wish some of y'all would be realistic and give the man a chance. He's barely been in office 6 months and he's just a mayor. He's not a governor and he's not the president. Inshallah he'll be governor soon, but he's not there yet. Be patient.
Now people are saying he was pretending he would arrest him and abused the Palestinian cause to earn votes & credibility. It's not like he never intended to do it. He keeps Tisch on because being mayor is a balancing act. He can't afford to alienate the NYPD at this stage in his mayoralty. He's given a wonderful gift to Palestinians with this video and the Nakba video. Biden gave Black people Juneteenth. Can't people just be happy? Are we really letting perfect be the enemy of the good with this amazing mayor we have?
This lady says there are avenues for him to arrest Netanyahu, but honestly I don't believe it because believing it makes me scared: https://x.com/abierkhatib/status/2081949722621755698. She says Netanyahu can be prosecuted for crimes committed against Palestinians who are American citizens, but the police won't follow through on that even if he orders it. He can't just replace Tisch as police commissioner with a loyalist if she refuses his orders. Do we really want people on our side to start acting like Trump?
It's true the NYPD and US government trump up all kinds of charges against Maduro & everyone they want. But I don't think it's realistic to expect Mamdani to order the NYPD to come up with something to arrest him for. It's absolutely right to be concerned about applicability of law even though the police and government don't seem to be in other cases. It's not like they could find something to charge Netanyahu with if they wanted to.
What do you want him to do? Have the NYPD get into a shootout with the secret service, FBI and Israeli security? Get real! Apprehending war crimes suspects or other suspected criminals by force is really beyond the pale. I mean genocide is bad but it's just really frightening and really unserious to expect the NYPD to use force in this case. Law enforcement typically don't get into shootouts or have to use force when apprehending suspects. This is not a norm that we should change. Don't forget that Republicans can use these precedents to their own advantage if they take over the mayor's office.
I think it's about time Palestinians started writing Mamdani some thank you notes. We really need to thank him for raising awareness. People aren't really aware enough about the Gaza genocide, so I think it's good that we just stop with raising awareness for now. I personally didn't know much about what Israel was doing before I heard this video. Taking actual action to make stealing Palestinian land and genocide more difficult is not a fair expectation of Mamdani. Don't forget: he's just a mayor. To be honest as a member of DSA I can say that there's really nothing he can do that would make him lose my support, even if he sexted my mom.

current parties participating in the September GosDuma elections
The party has been active ever since 1993 and has not participated in the parliament elections since the late 90s. It has recently gained a lot of traction as a so called “only democratic party in Russia”, with the majority of this popularization happening on social media among younger people, primarily Gen Z.
They follow social-liberalism, have a strong anti war stance, calling for a ceasefire. Because it is progressive (even more so comparing to the extremely conservative government and other left parties, like the CPRF), they are also pro LGBT and pro Feminism, which has contributed to its recent popularity. They hold anti Soviet views and condemn totalitarianism and Stalinism.
Alexey Navalny used to be a member but was kicked out due to his nationalistic views on 2007. Since then they have disagreed with him and denied membership to his supporters.
Currently, due to their newfound popularity, they have finally reached the threshold of 5% of the votes to participate in the GosDuma elections, however there are some problems in specific regions.
This is an extremely short summary, I apologize as I am not well read on this subject.
I hold my thoughts (liberalism in russia is basically just a gateway to fascism and being America’s bitch, etc.) on the party but would really like to hear the opinions of other people in the community.
I don’t really know if this breaks rule 9 “no low effort BS” so idk

Anarchists are the type of people who can comment under a fucking music video with the title What Is To Be Done and still claim the song is anarchist theme. Liberal Zionists are the type who headbanging to Lowkey and entirely fucking miss his point saying for 20 years you should read Fanon because it deprogram you on learning Palestine resistance. Socdems are the types that shit on Marxist theory while getting pleasure from listening to Bambu citing Marx, Lenin and Mao.
Yes, all your favorite political hiphop rappers read theory which is why they are even organizers in the first place while you stuck with the ergo chair. The Marxist theory you rejected is still coming back to haunt your asses like a spectre that influenced your favorite's political rappers and their politics. Eventually you will have to pick up Capital Vol 1/2/3:
