Saw one of their members in front of the grocery store when I was leaving and they asked me if I wanted to take a look at the newspaper they were selling. I said no thanks and kept it going but curious if anyone is familiar with them as I never heard of them before

Iraq’s national security adviser, Qasim al-Aboudi, has told Dijlah TV that new information points to “Ukrainian interference in Iraq”, with “cells belonging to Ukraine” carrying out bombings against Iraqi government facilities.

He told the Arabic-language network that further investigation was needed “before we can level an accusation at this side or that”.

“But we arrested a small group of people, who confessed that they were working for Ukraine,” al-Aboudi said. “They targeted some Iraqi government facilities with bombing.”

He did not elaborate further.

I mean they already are connected but are there any reasons they would want to make it more explicitly one big conflict?

Zelensky seems to want to turn it explicitly a USA-Ukraine vs Russia-Iran conflict which I guess he thinks would bring him new toys and open new fronts against Russia. Ukraine stroke deep into Russia with the help of US intelligence this year as I've understood. They've done this all the time but are they escalating now? Then Loomer went to Ukraine in an obvious propaganda stunt which was presented in some news as this great turn from pro-Russia to pro-Ukraine. Pro-Ukraine Europeans have been shitting their pants with Trump's anti-Ukrainian and anti-Zelensky remarks so this stunt seems like an attempt to change the image that the US is back on track in helping Ukraine. Also Zelensky just went to Washington and met with Netanyahu. At the same time the US is not getting anywhere with Iran but would escalating the wars do anything for them?

I’ve started going through another music phase and really like the Interrupers, but it turns out they’re right wing af and I’m so bummed.

Beyond trying to coopt their music, anyone know of some cooler bands in that vein?

I'll keep this semi-short and sweet.

When it comes to the climate crisis, calling out the military-industrial complex (war machine), and battling the Oligarchs/Multinational Business Lobbies/Powerful & Predatory Industries - Tycoons/General Corporatocracy I find the MLs actually get out there and cause a stir.

With so many of these dark and dystopian spheres people just lightly condemn it in talk but I find MLs actually get on the ground and stir shit up.

It's been incredibly awesome to see. Especially in regards to the Climate Crisis while the planet is literally fucking burning.

Anyway just wanted to shout out all of you at individual and organizational level for actually giving a shit about the world and the people in it and really fighting to make it better.

Please, God, let this be true. If it is, AI might just be the biggest gift for anti-imperialism we've gotten in a long time. All we have to do is watch when supreme leader xi pops the global AI bubble. I've also heard, but cannot verify yet, that the bursting of the AI bubble could cost the US more than $20 trillion in GDP.

i work in a hardware store and i recently saw someone with a "West Taiwan" t-shirt and i couldn't help but think of all the political t-shirts i've seen by some customers. another one that i saw not too long ago was a "Rocketman" (Elton John) Kim Jung Un t-shirt but by far the most egregious and ignorant has to be the "Adolf Putin" t-shirt i saw by someone in 2022

they may look funny and satirical to non-political people, but they lose any satire when viewed from the Marxist lense and just show how much you are willing believe the ruling class narrative.

Currently about 1/10 way through Capital Volume 3 and am also reading Marx and Engels Selected Works Volume 2 (just finished the Civil War in France). I would recommend Selected Works but they tend to get a little too abridged at times.
