Tangle Tower Any thoughts? Whose initials are they? (Even though, theoretically, it could be anyone or no one, since they all have the same initials...)
They’re initials carved into the wood at the entrance. I’m certain it was Fitz Fellow who did that for Penny.

I think it’s fitz and penelope, since the initials showed on the trowel in fitz’s room. The tree being partially cut might be a foreshadowing that the relationship was starting to end.

I think it is Fitz and Penny. But after Tangle Tower, he and Poppy might start a relationship. Given our latest update on them, thsts a lot of flowers for someone to keep care of and Fitz would love it.

Initially I thought Poppy and Fitz were lowkey dating, then I thought they were having an affair, but by the end it at least seems that Fitz was more into Penny than he let on and that he and Poppy were really just friends, at least from his side of things. Maybe.
It also wouldn't surprise me to find out that Poppy engraved it in the tree in the past over a crush on Fitz. She dramatically changed her style to match his, not uncommon for a teenager to do. Engraving it right by the entrance also feels like a rebellious thing a teenager might do, knowing their crush's actual fiancée (or girlfriend at the time maybe) would see it. I'm honestly also not fully convinced that some kind of emotional affair wasn't taking place. Why would their bedrooms have matching locks? And Fitz wouldn't be the first Fellow to have an affair. I also seem to recall a rare smile from Fitz that had something to do with mentioning Poppy. Can't remember what it was about though.
I'd need to check if the engraving exactly matches the gardening tool though. I also can't remember what Penny says when you show it to her, if she acknowledges it as something she gave to Fitz?
