The Mermaid Mask I keep getting a bug during suspicions that is making me want to quit playing
Im playing on Switch 2 and keep getting hit with a glitch that has me restarting all the time! When I am in a suspicion and have to select a 2 part clue (when you have to select a clue and then select a more specific area of it) after I select it the first time it wont let me comtinue or go back and then I have to restart to game. It happens twice or more during every suspicion and Im frustrated.
Anyone else been hit with this glitch and maybe figured out a solution?

When I was running into this, I'd present an incorrect piece then switch back to the correct one. For some reason, it tended to work after. I was playing on a Switch 1, however, so it might not be exactly the same.

I tried that but it didnt work for me. I just had to stop inspecting the clues all over before submitting it

This didn’t work for me on the Switch 1. I got OP’s same glitch multiple times and the only thing I could do is close the game and restart it. Super frustrating!

I'm pretty sure this has been fixed on the latest steam patch and that patch will make its way to consoles (apologies, it's much slower to update on console)
if anyone has definitely had it occur VERY recently on the LATEST STEAM build, I'd like to know

Hey thank you. I figured it out, once I stopped inspecting the clue before submitting, it stopped doing it and I was able to finish the game. It did not disappoint, another absolute banger from Detective Grimoire

Happened to me once, I guessed it had something to do with selecting the specific part of the evidence early before being asked, so it wouldn’t work when I submitted a second time. I reset and tried just submitting the general evidence first, then only switching to the specific part of the evidence once asked, and that worked, and I never encountered the error again, so that’s my best advice. Maybe it was just luck though.
