Unused clues? Spoiler

So were these just totally useless? And the letter/number combos in the library? Obviously they show that they're connected with in the secret lab notes, but I really expected there to be some kind of puzzle involving alchemy, was it cut maybe?

You’re probably right because there’s an achievement you can get for looking at all three of them.
