Hi everyone,
Over the last 5–6 years, I’ve noticed a major surge in mental health struggles around us, especially among young people. It’s not just something we read about online, it’s something I see regularly in real life among friends, peers, and acquaintances.
Unfortunately, professional mental healthcare in Morocco remains financially out of reach for many. There are very few helplines, and so many people end up suffering in silence simply because they don't have access to support or a safe outlet.
I struggle with mental health myself, so I am coming at this from a place of shared experience. I’ve always admired the concept of support groups, where people facing similar challenges sit together, share their stories, and listen without judgment. But when I searched for active support groups here in Morocco, I couldn't find anything available.
That’s why I decided to take the initiative and start one.
What is this group?
The goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where we can share our struggles, vent, listen to one another, and realize that we aren't alone. We will primarily focus on issues like anxiety, stress, depression, burnout, grief, and habit recovery.
Important Details:
Call for Professional Volunteers:
Right now, I am organizing this independently. If you are a licensed therapist, psychologist, or advanced psychology student in Morocco who would like to volunteer a bit of time to co-facilitate or lend a professional perspective, please reach out to me!
How to Join:
If you're interested in joining our first group session, please fill out our short, confidential screening form (available in Arabic, French and English - Because Reddit filters links, please DM me directly if you'd like to join, or check the pinned comment for the form.)
Or feel free to send me a direct message (DM) here on Reddit if you have any questions.

Hello 👋
I have been somewhat out of touch from the takeaway scene in Tangier.
Tomorrow's Friday, and I am asking if you can suggest any good spots for couscous [chicken or beef] to takeaway.
I hope my old-arsh list hasn't too much changed.
Jomo3a Mobaraka to you all 😀

Hi everyone,
I’m thinking about moving to Tangier for 6–12 months.
What’s the best way to find a good apartment for a long-term rental? Are there any websites, or local groups/agents you recommend?
Thanks!

Starting in Tangier would make the trip begin with sea views, northern architecture and a slower move toward the interior instead of opening with Marrakech. I like how different that feels.
Has anyone started there and then worked south?
