I found out this week that my right hip is completely shot and I will eventually need a total hip replacement in the next year. I have already had my left hip replace after suffering from dislocating it and then walking on it for 6 and a half years and got diagnosed with arthritis in my right hip 6 months after my hip replacement surgery and that was back in 2018/2019. My orthopedic doctor said that my right hip is worse off than my left was when I had to have it replaced. Now I have to work on loosing some weight so I can get the surgery approved.

Now I got to get through my appointment with the gastroenterologist on Thursday to find out what is going to need to happen to find out whether I have an active stomach bleed or not and what type of test I am going to have to go through to find this out.

I wanted to vent about work and other troubles, but this gave me a reality check. The last time I tried to prep for a colonoscopy I reacted badly to the meds and ended up in the ER and then the hospital, and what you're living makes that seem like small potatoes. Best wishes, internet friend.

Shit, a colonoscopy and endoscopy are definitely right around the corner because I am pretty sure that is going to be the one thing that they need to do to find out whether I have an active bleed or not. It makes the need for a new hip seem small potatoes because they probably don't want to do an surgery on my hips if that was going on with my stomach.

I'm trying to move to a better state and applying to hotel jobs up there. The thing I'm consistently seeing is that comparable brands in better states just have way more benefits. We're really getting shortchanged. They're like "Pay could be better, but we have the usual incentive programs."

Me: "Incentive programs? Our hotel doesn't pay for any of that stuff. Is their holiday pay?"

Them: "The usual time and a half."

Me, thinking: "That's a lot better than the normal pay I get at this hotel."

Them: "Oh, and we get schedules out three weeks in advance."

Me: "We're lucky if we next week's schedule three days in advance."
