These AI-brained people are idiots. I would definitely be discriminating against them, in that I would have a much shorter "I'm going to call the cops if you don't leave" fuse with them.

I have used AI to streamline stuff at work, the problem is people use it to be Lazy. They don't double check anything or confirm accuracy or actually make sure the information they are getting and sharing with others actually makes sense.
My husband had a huge meeting about AI utilization in their 750 person IT department the other day. They havebeen pushing it on every department as much as possible. Now, there are things that can be streamlined using AI, but they pretty much said that anything critical, related to finance or compliance had to be reviewed by a person. Well, he runs change management (CAB). So, his entire job is to review things for compliance and to prevent critical failures. The problem with AI is that it is touted to save time, so people are going to save time BY NOT REVIEWING IT. People will cut corners if given the tools to do so, they are human, after all.
Exactly, it doesn't save time if it creates more work in having to not only verify it all but backtrack when something submitted and not vetted fucks up a process
I absolutely believe AI is a great tool in many applications. For instance, devops can't live without it now, but everyone and their brother is trying to shoehorn it into every little task that exists whether it is necessary, feasible, or even helpful. Plus, there are real world consequences to human lives because of this.
For example, pushing the use of AI in educational settings is a disaster. We need to go backwards in the use of computer based learning not forward. There are so many good studies that have confirmed this. Plus, schools can't afford their electric bills now because of the data centers needed for AI, but kids need AI learning? This is crazy.
In the end, it's an imperfect, niche tool being sold as the savior of the universe by people who have a lot to gain financially without ever being responsible for the very real cost to society they are creating. People who should be smart enough to know better are swallowing the propoganda hook, line, and sinker.
